Overview of the O: Battalion affiliate with CCHL team, Manikis commits to Sudbury and more

The North Bay Battalion have reached a player affiliation agreement with the Pembroke Lumber Kings. The Lumber Kings operate in the Central Canada Hockey League, also a member of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. Another team partnering with a tier II junior A hockey team to develop players on route to the Ontario Hockey League and beyond.

Kosta Manikis has made an official commitment to the Sudbury Wolves for the 2019-2020 season. Manikis a 5th round selection in 2017 by Sudbury has spent the past two seasons in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Kosta was with the Stouffville Spirit and most recently the Toronto Jr Canadiens.

The Flint Firebirds have hired Mark Ridout as an Assistant Coach and Head of Strength and Conditioning. The former Plymouth Whaler joins the Firebirds for the 2019-2020 season working double duties for the team. Mark spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League playing with the former Plymouth Whalers (Flint Firebirds), also playing with the Windsor Spitfires and Mississauga IceDogs (Niagara IceDogs).
