Overview of the O: Warren Rychel signs in Barrie, Attack sign U18 selection, and more

The Barrie Colts have found their bench boss for the upcoming 2019/2020 OHL season. Former Windsor Spitfires GM and Head Coach Warren Rychel will take over the reins of the Barrie Colts. The Colts set to enter their 25th season in the league when a sudden health issue forced Dale Hawerchuk to step down. Warren Rychel parted ways with the Spitfires earlier in the off season.

The Owen Sound Attack have signed forward Logan LeSage to a player agreement for the 2019/2020 season. Logan selected in the second round 29th overall at the 2019 U18 OHL priority draft. The Napanee, Ontario native spent last season with the Carlton Place Canadiens AAA midget team tallying 35 points in 39 games.

The focus for teams around the Ontario Hockey League were geared to team bonding and community involvement . Teams have lighter schedules with players away at NHL training camps which allows for giving back and bonding time. Both crucial to a successful all around hockey team.
