Members of the Mississauga Steelheads visited their local Tim Hortons location to support Tim Hortons Foundation camps. These camps are aimed at disadvantaged youth, primarily between the ages of 12-16, and focus on helping to foster “strength within youth to achieve their full potential.” Click here to learn more about this great cause.

former Sudbury Wolves prospect drafted to MLB:

With the 983rd overall pick in the 2019 MLB draft, the San Diego Padres selected left-handed pitcher Keegan Pulford-Thorpe. The Newmarket, ON native, was drafted by the Sudbury Wolves in the 12th round of the OHL Priority Draft in 2017 at as a defenseman. Pulford-Thorpe is a member of the Canadian National Junior team, he is also committed to the University of Central Florida for the Fall.

OHL awards ceremony recap: 

The Ontario Hockey League held their 2019 awards ceremony at the Hockey Hall of Fame yesterday. 15 of the OHL’s most outstanding players were honored with some big names making the list. Sudbury Wolves goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was named the most outstanding player as well as the goalie of the year, Niagra Ice Dogs forward Jason Robertson won the scoring title award, and Evan Bouchard of the London Knights won defenseman of the year.
