Overview of the O: Rangers alumni signs ECHL contract, Perfetti leads Canada to victory

Former Kitchener Rangers defenseman Sean Allen has signed a contract with the Wichita Thunder. Sean was the Rangers 3rd round selection in the 2014 OHL priority draft. He joins the Edmonton Oilers affiliate in the ECHL for the 2018-2019 season.

The Hlinka Gretzky Cup semifinals had plenty of drama, Canada takes a 3-2 victory to advance to the finals. Saginaw Spirit forward Cole Perfetti had his best game of the tournament, not an easy feat to accomplish considering is previous 3 games. Leading the way Cole scored two goals in regulation to send the game to overtime. A shootout was needed to decide the winner. 17 years old, Perfetti scored a hat-trick in the shootout including a highlight reel goal to win it on the final attempt.
