Overview of the O: Knights sign three draft picks, Knights forward added to team Canada camp, CHL launching mobile app

The London Knights have signed 3 players to standard player agreements for 2019-2020. Hunter Skinner the Knights 5th round selection from the 2017 OHL priority draft was first to ink his agreement. Hunter also drafted by the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL futures draft the same year, evidently spent last season with the Lumberjacks, he was traded half way through the year to the Lincoln Stars. The 2001 born defenseman was selected 4th round, 112th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2019 NHL entry draft.

Kirill Steklov also a defenseman is a 2002 born rearguard from Russia, Kirill is the London Knights first round selection from this years CHL import draft. The 6’4″ defender is also entering his NHL draft eligible year.

The third player to sign with London was drafted 114th overall in 2018. Brett Brochu the net minder from Tillbury, Ontario was selected in the 6th round by the Knights during the 2018 OHL priority draft. Brett spent last season with the Dresden Jr. Kings in the Provincial Junior Hockey League, he also earned rookie of the year honours with the Kings.

The Canadian Hockey League is launching a mobile app set to be released this fall. The app will be created by Adept Mobile and will offer fans updates, scores and more, the app will cover all 60 teams in the CHL.

London Knights Connor McMichael was added to the Canadian National Junior Team summer development camp. The Washington Capitals 1st round selection from the recent 2019 NHL draft will fill spots left open by Peyton Krebs and Dylan Cozens, both players rehabbing injuries sidelining them from playing.

The Kingston Frontenacs may be without 2002 born import selection Martin Chromiak. The Frontenacs 1st round and the 2nd overall selection Martin Chromiak reportedly has signed in his native country of Slovakia. Will be unfortunate for Kingston to have lost their first choice in this years CHL import draft.
