Overview of the O: OHL champs sign goaltender; IceDogs welcome pups; NHL combine testing continues

Guelph signs Bennett:

Guelph Storm announced the commitment of goaltender Owen Bennett. The 4th round selection from the 2018 OHL Priority draft spent last season with the Carelton Place Jr. Canadians in the CCHL2, he recorded a 2.48 Goals against average and .909 saves percentage in 29 games played.

IceDogs welcome future stars: 

 

The IceDogs began their 2019 rookie orientation camp on Saturday. Niagara’s staff welcomed players and family members as all 17 draft selections attended the orientation.

NHL scouting combine continues: 

14 Ontario Hockey League players have made the trip to the 2019 NHL Scouting Combine. The combine is being held at the Harbor Center in Buffalo, NY, USA.

Test results from Day 5; Peterborough Petes netminder Hunter Jones had the third longest distance in the long jump and Niagara IceDogs forward Philip Tomasino finished in second during the Wingate VO2 testing.
