Overview of the O: Otters and IceDogs late-round selections commit to teams, OHL players well represented at NHL rookie camps, and more

The Erie Otters announced the commitment of three prospects this past week, including Brett Bressette, Christian Kyrou, and Cameron Morton. Bresette, a forward, played for the North Central Predators last season and was a fourth-round selection of the team. Kyrou and Morton, both defensemen, played for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs and Greater Kingston Jr. Frontenacs last season and were fifth and seventh-round selections of the team.

The Niagara IceDogs announced the commitment of three prospects this past week, including Ryan Campbell, Anthony Agostinelli, and Dakota Betts. Campbell and Agostinelli, both forwards, played for the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Kitchener Dutchmen and Buffalo Jr. Sabres U16 last season and were sixth and eighth round selections of the team. Betts, a defenseman, played for the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Whitby Fury and was a first-round selection in the U-18 Priority Selection.

With NHL rookie camps undergoing, players from across all 20 OHL teams are in attendance and many have players competing in prospect tournaments this weekend.
