Peterborough Petes alumni and a 1st round pick from the 1995 OHL priority draft Scott Barney has been named to the Team Canada West coaching staff. The former 9th overall selection is currently the head coach and general manager for the Humboldt Broncos.

Former 3rd round, 31st overall OHL priority selection Steve Seftel has released his new book titled “Shattered Ice.” Steve tallied 166 points in 162 games played in the Ontario Hockey League. He played them all in Kingston as a member of the Kingston Canadians, known as the Kingston Frontenacs today. The new author was a 2nd round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 1986 NHL entry draft.
