Overview of the O: Storm and Steelheads sign prospects, 67’s prospects selected for US team, OHL alumni in the NHL

The Guelph Storm announced the signing of 2016, 8th round pick Jacob Roach. Jacob played with the St. Catharines Falcons last season tallying 93 points in 47 games. Jacob will look to help the OHL Champions defend their title in 2019-2020.

Mississauga Steelheads have signed goaltender Justin Dilauro. The Whitby, Ontario netminder was selected 7th round, 141st overall in the 2019 OHL priority draft by Mississauga.

Ottawa 67’s prospects Teddy Sawyer and Davis Burnside have both been selected to the USA select team. Davis played for the Chicago Missions U15 team last season, he was selected in the 5th round, 103rd overall by the 67’s in 2019. Defenseman Teddy Sawyer was Ottawa’s 3rd round selection in the 2019 OHL priority draft. Sawyer the 62nd overall pick spent last season with the Pittsburgh Penguins U16 team.

Kingston Frontenacs 1st round selection from the 2013 OHL priority draft Lawson Crouse has signed a 3-year contract extension with the Arizona Coyotes. The Frontenacs alumni were drafted 1st round 11th overall by the Coyotes at the 2015 NHL entry draft. Crouse played 81 games with Arizona last season tallying 25 points.

The Peterborough Petes captain Zach Gallant has signed an entry-level contract with the San Jose Sharks. The Petes 1st round selection from the 2015 OHL priority draft posted 25 points in 30 games in the OHL last year. Zach appeared in 4 games for the Tucson Roadrunners in the ECHL in 2018-2019 as well. San Jose drafted Gallant in the 3rd round of the 2017 NHL entry draft.
